Mom was taken there directly from the hospital where she had surgery. We go there every day to see how she is doing. They keep the facility nice and clean and you can have either a private or a semi-private room. She needs to have special pureed foods and they have been doing that very well for her.
They never checked with the nursing staff, but somehow when I checked in the morning, the nurse told me it was a fine specimen. I am a nurse and I know that the diagnosis was first made with a stool specimen that also contained urine. They just lied to her to make her worry. My mother was alert and oriented but they hoped she was confused so they could deny the things they were doing to her. They refused to give her a diaper in the night because they said they didn't have a key to the storage room.
Especially in the summer, they don’t have a real seating area, no area where you can have your family come up and still be included in activities. You know, we used to just take our chairs and go sit outside my mom’s window and let her watch her grandkids play. And sometimes, we make her up a sub if they were short on food and weren’t feeding her right.
